They produce at least six thousand birds in one batch selling them to the local market at wholesale price. These birds are also part of their students florishing diet making the school struggle feel close to home. They have found their way to generate income from such project so as to support the school and not rely on student fees to run the shcool. Students also take part in the brooding process of this project and get the first hand experince of the agri business world. We offen encourage school to uptake these type of projects inorder to be self reliant in some departments. Indeed, St Johns High School Chikwaka are in Pursiut of Excellence.

Most of our schools has taken the liberty of entering the agri- business industry as they have produced remarkable results. In particular is the piggery project classified under the animal husbandry field of agriculture. This is a fast growing project that has seen huge number as one pig can produce up to 18 piglets if they are well taken care of. This has also added high quality and fresh pork to the menu of our bording school facilities making the school setup feel closer to home. Studens also take part in these projects giving them first hand information on how to handle and manage these types of projects. This increases the childrens thrill into learning new content and the privilledge to apply what they would have learnt in the books. Special thanks also goes out to our teachers who have made it their concern and priority in the success of these projects, our parents for the continous support and the school administrations for giving our pupils and staff a chance to experience this wonderful movement.

These projects also include our go Green projects of resorting to solar energy from the fossil fuel power. This makes use of the natural given sunlight to produce electricity and lighting used by students to study at night and produce the well known high grades. Some of these projects have even extended an arm into involving all school lighting to solar as to cut the highly flactating fuel cost to run generators.
